MASIUSUIMATAMAALII TAUASA PAUARAISA – KIWI FERN #142
A Kiwi Ferns and Fetu Samoa rugby league international, Sui Tauasa Pauaraisa has been an inspirational presence on the Canterbury women’s scene.
The Canterbury rugby union representative began playing for Linwood Keas in 2016 and received a Kiwi Ferns call-up and Warriors NRLW contract just two years later.
In the two months after leading the Keas to an epic victory over Papanui Tigers with a player-of-the-match performance in the 2018 Grand Final, the dynamic backrower/hooker featured in the Warriors’ trailblazing premiership campaign and played in the Kiwi Ferns’ thrilling 26-24 loss to the Jillaroos at Mt Smart Stadium.
The following season, Tauasa Pauaraisa led Fetu Samoa against the Kiwi Ferns in a 46-8 loss at the same venue.
Tauasa Pauaraisa skippered Canterbury to the NZRL National Women’s Competition title in 2021 and scooped the CRL Sportswoman of the Year award.
