Match Official
Match officials play an integral role in rugby league. Officials provide leadership and guidance to participants, ensuring that the competition is conducted in a safe and fair manner. Qualities such as integrity, honesty, trustworthiness and respect are integral to the role.
Team Manager
Managers play an important role in teams. Every team needs a team manager to assist with team duties. Team manager traits and skills include:
- organised
- strong communicator
- team player
- problem solver
- time management
Coach
Coaches have a key role in nurturing teams and players to get the most out of them. Understanding the game of rugby league is important; however, soft skills such as:
- dependable
- relatable
- team player
- leader
- communicator
Trainer
Trainers have a big responsibility looking after player and team welfare. Injury prevention, attending injuries and rehab are key components of a trainers role.
