Match Official
Match officials play an integral role in rugby league. Officials provide leadership and guidance to participants, ensuring that the competition is conducted in a safe and fair manner. Qualities such as integrity, honesty, trustworthiness and respect are integral to the role. Please visit our Referee Development page for more information.
Team Manager
Managers play an important role in teams. Every team needs a team manager to assist with team duties. Team manager traits and skills include:
- organised
- strong communicator
- team player
- problem solver
- time management
Coach
Coaches have a key role in nurturing teams and players to get the most out of them. Understanding the game of rugby league is important; however, soft skills such as:
- dependable
- relatable
- team player
- leader
- communicator
Trainer
Trainers have a big responsibility looking after player and team welfare. Injury prevention, attending injuries and rehab are key components of a trainers role.
