CORRINA WHILEY – KIWI FERN #129
A long-serving Canterbury rep in rugby union and rugby league, blockbusting center Corrina Whiley won Kiwi Ferns selection in 2017.
Whiley played her only Test in the Ferns’ 16-4 loss to the Jillaroos in Canberra, impressing with her trademark powerful running game on the edge and from dummy-half.
Later in 2017, Whiley collected player-of-the-match honours in Papanui’s Grand Final victory over Linwood, scoring two tries and laying on another in a dominant display.
Whiley earned a Warriors’ contract for the inaugural NRLW season in 2018 but injury ruled her out of the trailblazing competition.
Teaming up with sister Jerusha, Corrina was a driving force in Sydenham Swans 2020 and ’21 Grand Final victories.
