Alarna Nicholas represented the Kiwi Ferns in the 1998 home series against Great Britain.

Playing alongside Woolston teammate Debbie Chase, Nicholas featured at hooker as New Zealand carved out three convincing wins over the tourists – including a 44-0 rout at Rugby League Park in Christchurch.
