Rugby league has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up in Wellington, sport shaped who I am, and after moving to Canterbury six years ago, that passion only grew stronger. It was my children who inspired me to step further into the game and follow that passion professionally, and my husband has been my biggest supporter every step of the way. For our whānau, rugby league isn’t just a sport, it’s a way of life.
I am the Competitions & Operations Manager for Canterbury Rugby League, responsible for overseeing the delivery of competitions and events across junior, youth and seniors. My role involves working closely with clubs, and match officials to ensure competitions are structured, safe, and aligned with NZRL policies, Health & Safety requirements, and Ministry of Education expectations.
My responsibilities include draw and tournament management, venue coordination, risk and safety planning, compliance oversight, and providing clear communication and support. With a strong background in grassroots rugby league, I am passionate about creating positive, well-organised environments where young people can thrive in the game while balancing their education and wellbeing.
I am committed to strengthening connections between schools and clubs, building sustainable pathways, and ensuring rugby league in Canterbury continues to grow in a way that supports players, whānau, and communities.
