TRILLO METALS CANTERBURY BULLS MEN’S NAME TEAM FOR WEST COAST OPENER
The Trillo Metals Canterbury Bulls Men’s team get their South Island Men’s Championship campaign – and their quest for promotion back into the 2025 NZRL National Premiership – underway at Greymouth’s Wingham Park on Saturday.
Incoming Trillo Metals Bulls Canterbury Men’s coach Walter Wilson has named his first squad, which will be captained by experienced Linwood Keas second-rower Danny Samuelu-Latu.
Eastern’s Taniela Leka and Halswell’s Brody Greig will pair up in the halves, while Riccarton skipper Te Morehu Reweti – a late addition to the squad – has been named at fullback.
Dynamic hooker Antonio Lemalu is joined in the forward pack by clubmates Cooper Te Hau and Tahemaka Nui, along with Keas front-row cornerstone George Faaiva and Eagles lock Uale Peneli. Nick Evans, Muipu Nati, Matthew Logopati and Maoluma Sakaria provide a balance of experience and youthful strike in the three-quarter line.
The opening-round showdown kicks off at 1.45pm.
