Warriors five-eighth Kodi Nikorima had a forgettable outing in his return from injury, palmed off by Iosia Soliola as Canberra scored the first try on Friday night and leaving the field after 21 minutes with a recurrence of his ankle problem.
Fellow Burnham Chevaliers junior Jazz Tevaga played the entire 80 minutes in the Warriors’ dismal 46-12 loss to the Raiders, starting at hooker before shifting to his preferred lock position. The utility made eight runs and a colossal 68 tackles.

Aranui product Jamayne Isaako had a relatively quiet night as Brisbane Broncos copped a 40-4 thrashing from Melbourne Storm.
The winger made 70 metres from 10 carries and missed his only shot at goal.
CANTERBURY CUP NSW
Hornby junior Fa’amanu Brown steered Canterbury Bulldogs to a thrilling 26-22 win over Penrith Panthers in a clash of two of the Canterbury Cup’s heavy hitters.
Playing at halfback, the versatile Brown scored a try, kicked three goals and made 21 tackles without a miss. The 24-year-old has made three NRL appearances in 2019 for the Bulldogs.

Halswell old boy Matt McIlwrick played 42 minutes at hooker in Wentworthville Magpies’ 36-16 loss to St George Illawarra Dragons, racking up 25 tackles without a miss.
Contracted to Parramatta, McIlwrick has not featured at NRL level since Round 15 last year when he was at Wests Tigers.
INTRUST SUPER CUP QLD
Ex-Northern Bulldogs hooker/lock Sheldon Pitama played 67 minutes off the bench in Redcliffe Dolphins’ 20-14 win over Burleigh Bears, racking up a team-high 26 tackles as well producing two try-assists and three line-break assists in a super performance.
JERSEY FLEGG CUP (NSW U20s)
Sua Ailoilo started at prop again as the Bulldogs played out a 28-all draw against the Panthers.
Parramatta Eels five-eighth Joseph Taipari scored the match-winning try in a nail-biting 32-28 win over St George Illawarra Dragons.
HASTINGS DEERING COLTS (QLD U20s)
Primarily a winger during the past two seasons, Jalen Tangiiti-Turner featured at centre as Wynnum Manly Seagulls thumped Easts Tigers 38-12.
Daejarn Asi was at centre and Zinzan Martin started on the wing as Townsville Blackhawks overwhelmed Western Mustangs 42-6, while Griffin Neame came of the bench to score a second-half try.
