Brisbane winger Jamayne Isaako finished on the winning side in the clash of the Canterbury juniors on Saturday night.

The Aranui product kicked two goals in the Broncos’ grinding 8-2 Indigenous Round win over the Warriors at Rarotonga Mount Smart Stadium.

Warriors five-eighth Kodi Nikorima ran for 108 metres against the club he left earlier this month, but couldn’t produce the offensive breakthrough.

Meanwhile, fellow Burnham Chevaliers junior Jazz Tevaga lasted just eight minutes before leaving the field injured in a crucial blow for the Warriors.

CANTERBURY CUP NSW

Playing at five-eighth, Hornby old boy Fa’amanu Brown scored Canterbury’s last try in a 52-22 demolition of Mounties, as well as running for 90 metres and reeling off 16 tackles. The utility has made two NRL appearances off the bench for the Bulldogs so far in 2019.
