Whitehead Plumbing & Gas On-board As Junior Rugby League Naming Rights Sponsor

Canterbury Rugby League is excited to announce Whitehead Plumbing & Gas as sponsor of the CRL Junior Rugby League competition, Mini and Mods, for the next three years.

The agreement provides naming rights to the competition along with signage and activation opportunities during the season.

The club competition starts this weekend and will see over 2,500 people converging on Canterbury Agricultural Park on Saturday morning to encourage and support our players in over 95 teams representing 15 clubs.

The Junior Finals Day will be held in early-August 2019.

“It is fantastic to have such a well-known and trusted brand partnering with our sport and we truly appreciate their involvement,” Canterbury Rugby League CEO Duane Fyfe said.

Whitehead Plumbing & Gas also supported the Rockcote Canterbury Bulls’ Ngā Puna Wai opener against the Warriors in February by sponsoring one of the 20 one-off jerseys for the match.

General Manager Paul Olsen said the company, which has over 40 years’ experience in the Christchurch and Canterbury region, is excited about playing a more permanent role in getting behind the game and assisting the growth of junior rugby league.

“To be involved in rugby league at a grassroots level is an opportunity for us to support the great work that so many volunteers do to grow the game and keep kids active,” Olsen enthused.
